RFC 9114 defines HTTP/3, which maps HTTP semantics onto QUIC transport rather than TCP. By eliminating head-of-line blocking at the transport layer and integrating TLS 1.3, HTTP/3 delivers lower latency and better performance on lossy networks compared to HTTP/2.
