SIP 302 Moved Temporarily vs 505 Version Not Supported
SIP 302 (Moved Temporarily) is a 3xx Redirection response, while 505 (Version Not Supported) is a 5xx Server Failure response. 302 indicates that the callee has temporarily moved to a different address. The client should retry the request at the Contact address but continue using the original URI for future requests. In contrast, 505 means that the server does not support the SIP protocol version that was used in the request. Currently only SIP/2.0 is standardized.
