HTTP 206 Partial Content vs 410 Gone

HTTP 206 (Partial Content) is a 2xx Success response, while 410 (Gone) is a 4xx Client Error response. 206 indicates that the server is delivering only part of the resource due to a Range header sent by the client. Used for resumable downloads and video streaming. In contrast, 410 means that the resource is permanently gone and will not be available again. Unlike 404, this is intentional and permanent.
