Abstract
RFC 2428 extends FTP to support IPv6 addresses and NAT traversal by defining the EPRT and EPSV commands as replacements for PORT and PASV. The extended commands use a protocol-family agnostic format that supports both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses for the data connection negotiation.
