SDP (Session Description Protocol)

A text format (RFC 8866) for describing multimedia session parameters — codecs, IP addresses, ports, bandwidth, and encryption keys — exchanged during WebRTC and SIP signaling. SDP offers and answers are negotiated via the RTCPeerConnection offer/answer model in WebRTC. Each line is a type=value pair, with sections for session-level, timing, and media descriptions.
