Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP/1.1): Authentication

RFC 7235 defined the HTTP/1.1 authentication framework, specifying the WWW-Authenticate and Authorization headers and the challenge-response mechanism. It has been obsoleted by RFC 9110, which incorporates this content into the consolidated HTTP Semantics specification.
