SIP 200 OK vs 505 Version Not Supported
SIP 200 (OK) is a 2xx Success response, while 505 (Version Not Supported) is a 5xx Server Failure response. 200 indicates that the request has succeeded. For INVITE, the call has been answered. For other methods, the action has been completed successfully. In contrast, 505 means that the server does not support the SIP protocol version that was used in the request. Currently only SIP/2.0 is standardized.
